The Living Urban District Research
I am driven by deep, thoughtful, and explorative research.
The Living Urban Districts (LUD) research is an effort lead by multiple research labs of Perkins&Will. It provides a planning framework with a focus on resilience at the district scale. The research used the shock of COVID-19 to understand the relationship between the public realm and social equity and public health. It used three cities as case studies (San Francisco, Toronto, Atlanta) and identified multiple indicators (economic, education, health, etc.) for each of the districts. These indicators were correlated to each other and to access to transportation and the public realm.
